A project to celebrate the diversity and development of Philadelphia since the creation of the Constitution 250 years ago
Project Statement for "This is Philadelphia"
"This is Philadelphia" is a photography project dedicated to capturing the rich diversity and dynamic growth of Philadelphia in the 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. As the birthplace of the nation’s founding document, Philadelphia holds a unique place in American history, while also embodying the evolution and resilience of a modern city. This project aims to celebrate the people, neighborhoods, architecture, and culture that have shaped Philadelphia’s identity over two and a half centuries. By documenting the city’s development and its vibrant communities, "This is Philadelphia" will serve as a visual tribute to the spirit of progress and inclusivity that continues to define the city. In honor of the Declarations upcoming anniversary, the project invites photographers to reflect on Philadelphia's past, present, and future as a symbol of democracy and a beacon of cultural richness.
A project to capture and celebrate all things uniquely "American"
Project Statement for "Something About America"
The "Something About America" photography project seeks to explore, document, and celebrate the diverse and multifaceted identity of the United States through visual storytelling. By capturing moments, people, landscapes, traditions, and cultural icons that reflect the uniqueness of the American experience, this project aims to showcase the vibrant tapestry of life across the country. From the small, everyday details that shape local communities to the grand symbols of national identity, "Something About America" endeavors to create a visual archive that honors the essence of what makes America distinct. Through this collective journey, we aim to foster a deeper understanding of the country’s complex character and offer a platform for photographers to contribute their perspectives on what it means to be American.

Project Statement for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Photography
This long-term photography project aims to document the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, as organized by Global Citizen 365, with a special focus on the 30th Anniversary celebration in January 2025 at Girard College in Philadelphia. The project seeks to capture the spirit of community, volunteerism, and civic engagement that defines this day of service, honoring Dr. King's legacy through acts of kindness and social justice initiatives. Through powerful imagery, the project will highlight the diverse individuals and groups who come together to contribute to a shared vision of equality, service, and unity. By documenting this annual event over time, the project will serve as a visual chronicle of the enduring impact of Dr. King’s message, as reflected in the people and communities committed to his dream of a just and inclusive society.
